The Cherry Hill Senior Center

Cherry Hill Senior Center participants Creola Scurry and Mary Louise McLean with Katie Shade (center), the program's director.

“I’ve been working at the center for the past three years and really enjoy working with seniors.  There are so many things that you can get from them when they share their experiences, and all of the things that they have had to deal with.  Seniors put it in perspective!  You can get through anything—just be strong!  Participants at the Center also have a lot of fun, and that makes my job fun!"

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend the senior center without being a member?

Yes, anyone who lives independently and does not require assistance with activities of daily living is welcome at the Cherry Hill Senior Center. Non-members pay a little more for the events, trips, and other activities at the Center. There are, however, several annual events open only to members.

How can I become a member of the Cherry Hill Senior Center?

Give us a call! Katie Shade, Program Coordinator, will be glad to have you join. There is a small $15 annual membership fee which comes with very big savings on Center events. Call Katie today at 410-354-5101.

What if I don't live in Cherry Hill? Can I still attend the center and become a member?

Yes, of course. As long as you live independently and do not require assistance with activities of daily living, you are welcome at the Center. We look forward to seeing you soon!

I no longer drive and the steps of the MTA buses are too high for me to step up safely. How can I get to the Center?

Through the support of the Commission on Aging and Retirement Education (C.A.R.E.) we are able to provide center members with Mobility transportation vouchers to and from the Center.
