The Neighborhoods at St. Elizabeth
Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
on the Jenkins Senior Living Community Campus
We are a 162-bed nursing center that provides a comprehensive array of rehabilitation and nursing services with compassion, excellence and integrity. Our person centered care encourages elders to make choices in every aspect of daily living, enabling each elder to achieve his or her highest potential.

”Placing a family member in the care of others can be a difficult decision. From the admission process through the elder’s stay at St. Elizabeth we have created a unique culture to deliver person-centered life. Whether you’re seeking short term rehabilitation, skilled nursing care, memory care, or hospice services, St. Elizabeth’s is designed to meet the social, spiritual, cognitive, and physical needs of elders through a variety of programs including pastoral care and life enrichment services. These specialized areas within St. Elizabeth are identified as Neighborhoods which are staffed by interdisciplinary teams led by human service professionals, known as Neighborhood Guides, who manages every aspect of care. This allows the Neighborhood Nurses, with our full-time geriatric physician, to concentrate one hundred percent of their time attending to the elder’s medical needs as they recuperate from an illness or a hospital stay.
St. Elizabeth’s unique approach coordinates nursing schedules around the elder’s daily activities—from getting up, to meals, physical therapy, and social, spiritual and recreational activities. Elder’s are encouraged to make choices about every aspect of their stay with us. Meals are served buffet style in our Neighborhood dining rooms, from varied menus prepared in our kitchens under the direction of our own staff chef. We also encourage families to maintain a personal connection with their loved ones during their stay and have designed living rooms in our newly renovated neighborhoods for elders, their families and friends. It is home that we have created here at St. Elizabeth to provide a harmonious and pleasant life for the elders who live in our neighborhoods, for the staff who work here and for the families who visit.”

“Over the past year, I have been working on culture change with the Sarah’s Circle Team which includes geriatric nursing assistants, nurses, housekeepers, and dietary staff. The result is that while we are providing comprehensive rehabilitation and nursing services for our elders we are also helping them decide how they want to spend their day, from rising time to meal times where they make selections from menus prepared by our in-house chef and served in our family dining room. Our planned and spontaneous activities not only enrich the elder’s day but also help improve their overall physical, social, and spiritual well being. I’m happy to see the level of commitment and energy among the staff that results in elders living life to the fullest every day. That’s what I’m here for!”
