Welcome

The mural on the wall and Patricia’s smile assure visitors to the Samaritan Center that they’ve come to the right place. Patricia is a volunteer who helps respond to an average 118 phone calls a day.

The Samaritan Center is a joint program of Catholic Charities and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  We are committed to helping persons in Baltimore City resolve emergency needs and increase their self-sufficiency.  We provide clients with direct financial assistance to help with rent, utilities, and traveler’s assistance so they can begin the road to financial stability.  We also give our clients access to services and programs that meet their individual needs.
