My Sister's Place Lodge

Margaret got her life back on track and found permanent housing.
Providing a home for formerly homeless women diagnosed with mental illness, My Sister’s Place Lodge is an oasis in downtown Baltimore. We provide a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment where the women can increase their self-esteem and develop the skills necessary to be successful in the community. We help the women make the transition to self-sufficiency and permanent housing.
Services Available
We provide support services including intensive case management, meals, clothing, transportation, life skills workshops, and recreational activities. A case manager provides counseling, rehabilitation, guidance, supervision, information and referral, and overall assistance with personal growth.
Additional resources to be provided this year will include the addition of a social work intern, an art therapist and a volunteer, who is a Registered Nurse. These additional services will increase our ability to be therapeutic in case management, assist residents with immediate medical needs, and increase our ability to utilize outside resources.
Amenities
Each woman residing at My Sister’s Place Lodge has a private or semi-private fully furnished bedroom. The women enjoy two very large living rooms and dining rooms as well as two kitchens. There are two handicapped accessible living units. The Lodge is safe and therapeutic with 24-hour staff supervision.
We realize that a person’s living environment plays an important role in providing a sense of wellness. We are always working to make the environment as warm and home-like as possible.
