The CFS Treatment Foster Care program provides
community-based treatment services within a foster family environment
to children ages birth to twenty-one. The children and youth served
suffer from one or a combination of behavioral, psychological, medical
and / or emotional problems that interfere with their ability to
function effectively in their environment. Specially trained foster
families teach, model, and interact with youth providing normalizing
experiences, which enhance levels of social and emotional functioning.
Our foster families receive a dual certification as treatment foster
parent(s) and adoptive parent(s). In the event that a child is legally
free for adoption, the foster family could be considered as an adoptive
resource. The Center for Family Services is committed to practices
that respect and promote positive birth family connections and positive
cultural identity for children and their families.
The Individual Service Plan is based on the specific needs, wants
and desires of every child and adult who requires care and treatment.
The treatment team provides the treatment services. The team consists
of the Social Worker, Child, Birth Family, Treatment Family, Therapist,
Psychiatrist and Dept. of Social Services Worker.
