Overview
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Baltimore compassionately cares for more than 160,000 people and serves over a quarter million meals every year to those who are hungry. Our 80 programs offer a diverse array of services in Baltimore City and Baltimore, Harford, Howard, Carroll, Anne Arundel, Frederick, Washington, and Garrett Counties of Maryland. We care for children and families, people who are poor and disadvantaged, seniors, and those who have developmental disabilities. In cherishing the Divine within, we improve lives by offering meaningful help and hope so that every person can realize her or his full potential. Catholic Charities is firmly rooted in the Gospel of Jesus to “serve the least of our brethren,” regardless of faith, race or circumstances. Our first program, St. Vincent’s Orphanage, celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2006. Today, Catholic Charities is the leading private provider of human services in Maryland, widely known for creative and compassionate caregiving and for developing programs aimed at self sufficiency. We pride ourselves in effectiveness and efficiency, with 90 cents of every dollar going to direct service. Our 10,000 volunteers; 20,000 donors and 2,100 employees are comprised of people of all faiths. We welcome your interest.
