   Letter from Executive Director Harold A. Smith Greetings! Thank you for visiting Catholic Charities’ website, where we are proud to showcase our work, to tell you about ourselves and what we stand for. You’ll see that our services and programs (80 in number) address diverse issues from adoption and foster care to aging, from poverty and homelessness to disability. Large and small, our programs are effective and they improve lives. We have a proven track record of innovation, efficiency and compassion, quite a combination for a human services organization. Catholic Charities is a vibrant organization of employees, volunteers, and donors. What sets us apart is our belief in the innate dignity of every person who comes to us for help. Every abused or emotionally disturbed child; every family in crisis; every couple seeking to build their family through adoption; every elderly person in search of an affordable, comfortable, safe apartment, assisted living facility or nursing center; every hungry, homeless, or unemployed person looking for solace and opportunity; every immigrant establishing a new home in America; and every developmentally disabled individual seeking a full life. Outside of every Catholic Charities location –more than 200- we proudly display a banner with the words “Cherishing the Divine Within” because this is the reason and the manner in which we greet every person who walks through our doors.
